EPISODE 1: YESTERDAY TODAY In this first show, we discuss some of the possible underlying elements of the new Danny Boyle/ Richard Curtis movie ‘Yesterday.’ Does this film contain subtle nods to the Paul McCartney replacement theory? We also use Quentin Tarantino’s new ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ as the springboard to chat about some of the loose, synchro-mystical links between the Beatles and the LA/ Laurel Canyon/ counter-culture scene of the late 1960s. EPISODE 2: THINGS THAT HAVE PASSED In the second edition of Magical Mystery Talk, amongst other topics, we look back at the creations of Robert Freeman, the English photographer who died this year aged 82, and who’d shot many of The Beatles’ earliest album-covers, two of which have caught the attention of occult-clue watchers. Also, this second edition, which was recorded and released in December 2019, comes to you twenty years to the month since an attempt on George Harrison’s life was made when a ‘crazed’ intruder came into his stately home in Friar Park, England, and stabbed the ex-Beatle repeatedly in the lung. As you’ll hear during the discussion, this was by no means the first time he’d been the focus of threats of violent intent. (Click here for more info)
EPISODE 3: DIFFERENT VERSIONS In the third edition of Magical Mystery Talk (recorded on July 27th 2020), up for discussion, amongst other topics, the seeming contradictions in the mainstream narrative surrounding what is deemed to be the fiftieth anniversary date of the break-up of The Beatles, April 1970. This announcement of the split in the mainstream Press occurred just a day or two after what was the release of Paul McCartney’s first solo album proper, ‘McCartney.’ The LP came, at the time, enclosed with a question & answer sheet prepared by the group’s trusted PR man, Derek Taylor and it’s this that prompted the subsequent newspaper headlines stating that the band was over. However, had the band split as reported? Also, during the 1970s, and up to 1980, there were, allegedly, attempts for a Lennon and McCartney reunion only for them all to be scuppered under dark circumstances. In this third edition, also up for discussion, the recent passing of German photographer Astrid Kircherr, who played a key role in the early development of the pre-fame Beatles when they were performing in the clubs of Hamburg. Also, some recent Beatles-related topics connected to ‘Black Lives Matter’ and how there’s been apparent attempts by at least one so-called ‘activist’ to co-opt John Lennon’s song ‘Imagine’ into this. Also, the 2019 Brit movie ‘Yesterday’ gets a revisit in this third instalment of the Magical Mystery Talk instalment and claims of plagiarism on the part of its said screenwriter, Richard Curtis. EPISODE 4 (Part One): JOHN LENNON'S MURDER, 40 YEARS ON To coincide with forty years having now passed since the shooting of John Lennon, in this fourth edition of ‘Magical Mystery Talk’ - and which is actually the first of two special instalments looking into the Lennon murder - Mark, Matt and Desiree shine a spotlight on this event and discuss a number of the inconsistencies, contradictions and seeming anomalies in the official narrative as trumpeted by the mainstream media. EPISODE 6: AGENDAS: FUTURE, PRESENT AND PAST In the sixth edition of Magical Mystery Talk, Matt, Mark and Desiree discuss Paul's and Ringo's public response to Covid, and in other topical goings-on of a Beatles-related flavour, there was Sean Lennon's recent postings on his 'Twitter' page, that were very much of an anti-'woke' nature, meanwhile, Stella McCartney attended the G7 Summit in June 2021, the annual meet-up of so-called world leaders and the 'elites.' What was she doing there? Earlier in 2021 also saw the re-release of John Lennon's first post-Beatles solo album, 1970's 'John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band,' and which is said to have been inspired by his trauma-based Primal Therapy sessions. John certainly carried a lot of emotional baggage, but was this Primal treatment a form of catharsis for him, or, mind-control? Also, in January 2021, the album's producer, Phil Spector, died. The life of this notorious man who also produced The Beatles' 'Let It Be' album and who was imprisoned in 2003 for the shooting of sometime actress Lana Clarkson, is reviewed. EPISODE 7: CONSPIRACIES Matt, Mark and Desiree play a bit of catch-up in this edition of Magical Mystery Talk that was recorded in February 2022. It's been a while since the three of them last met together for the previous episode - that was in July 2021. In May of '21 came the premiere of the feature-length documentary ‘The Beatles and India.’ It chronicles the band’s association with Indian music, culture and also so-called ‘Eastern mysticism’ through their relationship with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and briefly references allegations that he was tied to secret intelligence, namely the CIA. Matt, Mark and Desiree address these claims. Also released in 2021 was the two-volume book-set ‘Paul McCartney – The Lyrics’ which is McCartney looking back and discussing some of his song lyrics. Matt reads some of what one might deem to be the most inflammatory passages from it. Also discussed, ongoing 'clues' in the 'Paul is Dead' saga that have continued over 2021, a year which also saw the release of an updated version of ‘The Memoirs of Billy Shears,’ the alleged autobiography of Paul McCartney’s double/replacement. When it was originally released, there was a foreword from Beatles music-producer George Martin’s eldest son, Gregory, who also narrated the audio-book version. Gregory's been openly critical and scathing towards what he deems to be the ‘Corona scam’ over 2021. (Click here for more info)
